Interested in coaching?

We are always looking for coaches to get involved with our Junior and Senior teams. It is a great way to give back to the sport!

All coaches who play at UWAVC receive free club membership for the season! UWAVC will also reimburse any costs that coaches spend on gaining coaching qualifications. All coaches at UWAVC will be able to play, learn valuable coaching skills, and become more involved with the club, all for free! There are ongoing development courses held internally with experienced senior coaches.

Refereeing

Referees are essential in volleyball competitions as they ensure the rules of the game are upheld and that the matches are played fairly. They make critical decisions regarding faults, points, and player conduct, which directly impact the outcome of the game. Their authority helps maintain order on the court, allowing players to focus on their performance without distractions. Moreover, referees contribute to the integrity of the sport by promoting sportsmanship and providing a structured environment for competition.

All players are encouraged to obtain their L1 referee accrediation as there will be duty to perform throughout the WAVL season. Added bonus is that you may be able to earn money to referee. Interested in learning moire? Or perhaps improve your skills as an official? UWA supports our referees and recognizes that they are vital to the growth of our sport.
